About Lynn Crawford
Long before seeking re-election, Lynn Crawford chose Ruidoso as the place where he wanted to live, show up, contribute, and lead with care.
Over years of service—as Mayor, a member of Village Council and advisory committees, and as a regional and statewide municipal leader—his focus has remained the same: do the work, build trust, and put Ruidoso first.
Rooted in Community, Guided by Listening
Mayor Crawford leads by showing up and listening first. He values open dialogue, thoughtful decision-making, and respectful disagreement—especially when the issues facing the community are complex.
He understands that good leadership isn’t about quick answers or easy wins. It requires balance—between growth and preservation, urgency and care, immediate needs and long-term responsibility.
Rather than chasing headlines, he focuses on the steady work that keeps essential services strong, supports public safety, and protects the character of the Village.
That commitment is reinforced through transparency. Village Council meetings are livestreamed and available for public replay; residents hear directly from the Mayor through weekly radio updates; and ongoing communication is shared through official Village channels, so the community can stay informed and engaged—and leadership remains accountable.
Leadership That Shows Up in Difficult Moments
When the South Fork and Salt Fires struck Ruidoso in 2024—followed by devastating floods—this community faced some of its hardest days.
Mayor Crawford showed up for residents through every stage of those challenges, working alongside local, state, and federal partners to support recovery and secure assistance for those affected.
Those moments reinforced what he has always known: leadership matters most when circumstances are uncertain, and decisions carry real weight.
Experience That Matters
Over the past eight years as Mayor, and through years of service on the Village Council, the Lodgers’ Tax Committee, Parks & Recreation Committee, and the Military 365 Committee, Lynn Crawford has worked steadily to move Ruidoso forward.
His service as Secretary, Vice President, and President of the New Mexico Municipal League has strengthened relationships across the state and beyond—connections that have brought critical resources, advocacy, and support to Ruidoso when it mattered most.
He believes effective leadership isn’t about titles, but about being prepared when your community needs you.
Looking Ahead
As he seeks re-election in 2026, Mayor Lynn Crawford remains deeply committed to Ruidoso and to the people who call it home. There is still important work ahead—rebuilding, strengthening, and planning thoughtfully for the future.
This campaign is about continuity with purpose: building on hard-earned progress, addressing challenges with experience and integrity, and continuing to lead with care, steadiness, and accountability.
